Curtis Holder joins the judging panel for the Jackson’s Painting Prize 2022

I am honoured to have been invited to be a member of the Expert Judges Panel for the Jackson’s Paining Prize 2022.

The annual prize exists to champion exceptional drawings and paintings made by international artists at all points in their careers, with tailored prizes that aim to give successful applicants the exposure and resources to support them in their practice.

There are five other judges on the panel, each bringing a unique perspective to cultivate a varied selection of the entrants’ work:

Marcelle Hansellar – Artist, Painter and Printmaker
Miranda Boulton – Artist & winner of Jackson’s Painting Prize 2021
Claudia Kennaugh – Art Advisor
Shanti Panchal – Artist
Jennifer Conner – Regional Managing Director, Affordable Art Fair, and Art Advisor, After Nyne Contemporary.

The prize fund will consist of over £11,000 in cash and Jackson’s Art Supplies Vouchers. As well as the main prize, there will be an additional six category awards of £500 each, and an Emerging Artist Award of £1000. The People’s Choice Award, with a prize of £500 Jackson’s Art Supplies Voucher, will be determined by the public vote online. For the second year, there will also be awarding the Outstanding Watercolour Award for which the award is also a £500 Jackson’s Art Supplies Voucher. 

Submissions close at 5pm on 01 March 2022 and information on how to enter can be found on the Jackson’s Painting Prize website.
