‘Cockcrow’ by Curtis Holder Highly Commended in the Viking Cruises British Art Prize 2021

I am delighted that my work ‘Cockcrow’ has been highly commended in the Viking Cruises British Art Prize 2021 having been initially shortlisted as one of 50 top works.

The selected works will feature in a virtual exhibition this summer. One of the 50 artworks will also win the People’s Choice Award, voted for by readers of Artists & Illustrators magazine. To place your vote, visit the Viking Cruises British Art Prize voting page.

This new national open art competition offers a £2,000 cash prize to the winner, as well as a feature in Artists & Illustrators magazine, a solo exhibition with Panter & Hall and a Viking river cruise worth £7,000, which visits Lyon, Provence and Arles, following in the footsteps of Van Gogh.

A £500 cash prize and £250 voucher from Rosemary & Co. will be awarded to the artist in second place, while a £250 voucher from Rosemary & Co. goes to the artist in third place. The People’s Choice Award winner will get a £1,000 art materials voucher from Zieler.

The judges included BBC presenter Lachlan Goudie, Viking’s Wendy Atkin-Smith, Panter & Hall’s Tiffany Panter and Artists & Illustrators‘ editor Steve Pill.
