‘The Talk’ by British artist Curtis Holder selected for the The Pastel Society’s Annual Exhibition at Mall Galleries

I’m delighted that my drawing ‘The Talk’ has been chosen for The Pastel Society’s 123rd Annual Exhibition at Mall Galleries in London.

The work was created in response to a series of sittings and conversations with Mike, a 19-year old model, during which we compared our personal experiences of life as young black men in the late eighties and the present day.

The Pastel Society is recognised as foremost in its field, a magnet for brilliant exponents of pastel, pencil, chalk and charcoal.

The exhibition takes place from 17- 26 February 2022 and will feature works in a rich variety of techniques , styles and subject matter captured on the walls at Mall Galleries. I’m looking forward to seeing my work among them.

Visit the Mall Galleries website to purchase my work ‘The Talk’.
