Curtis Holder’s drawing ‘The Talk’ receives two awards at The Pastel Society Annual Exhibition 2022

I am honoured that my work “The Talk” received The Anthony J Lester Art Critic Award and The Frank Herring & Sons Award at The Pastel Society 123rd Annual Exhibition at Mall Galleries in London.

The work was created in response to a series of sittings and conversations with Mike, a 21-year old model, during which we shared and compared our personal experiences of life as young black men in the late eighties and the present day.

The Pastel Society is recognised as foremost in its field, a magnet for brilliant exponents of pastel, pencil, chalk and charcoal.
